WELCOME TO MILANO OPEN, THE TOURNAMENT YOU CAN'T MISS! THIRD EDITION OF THE MILAN OPEN PICKLEBALL International tournament that will be played in the prestigious Racquet Club Milano, where for the occasion will be set up, in addition to the usual 4 fields, another 4 fields . For the Italian players it is necessary to be in possession of any FITP card, both competitive and non-competitive, and to have a valid medical certificate for non-competitive sports activity (or competitive). For Italian players: without a valid medical certificate it will not be possible to participate in the tournament. For non-Italian players, it will be necessary to fill out a statement of good health for eligibility to play, one week before the tournament, which will be available soon on this page. You can also register without a partner: in this case you will be matched by the organizers. Warning: it is possible to register only for a division between 19+ , 35+ and 50+ of the same specialty per day (e.g. you must choose between male single 19+ or 50+ you can not play both). The organizer, in case a minimum number of 4 participants/pairs per tournament is not reached, may cancel the same or group different age groups (+50 with +19) after acceptance by those interested. Players +50 are all players over 50 or those who will turn 50 in this calendar year: the condition , in case of a double, must be valid for both. When registering, you will have to pay the registration fee: 40 euros for the first tournament of the day, 10 euros for each subsequent division. The fee is non-refundable. RACE FIELD AND SCORING For the tournament we have 4 fixed fields and other covered fields marked with tape. There will also be support camps specially dedicated to the warm-up phase of the athletes: you must present yourself at the meeting ready to start the match. All players must always be available for tournaments: after a delay of 10 minutes from the call to the field will lose the table. All divisions, with a higher number of 5 pairs or players registered, provide for an Italian group stage and a subsequent elimination table. The first two teams in each group will qualify for the second round. If the group is unique, all will play against all without final phase. When possible, consolation matches for non-qualifiers will also be organized. Each match will be self-arbitrated, of one set only, and will end at 11 with the win by one rule in case of 10-even score. Only the 1-2 and 3-4 final will be played at 15, always with the win by one rule in case of 14 pairs. Awards The top three in each division will be awarded at the end of each specialty. Prizes will be drawn from the sponsors' prize draw among participants during the event.
